The Future of Augmented Reality Might Be Here

Meet Meta the augmented reality technology brand that has been capturing the attention of the world with the launch of their Meta Pro headset, which is being sold for around $3000. The augmented reality headset is aiming to bridge the gap between fully immersive virtual reality like the Oculus Rift and more subtle wearable devices such as Google Glass.

Augmented Reality Marketing

Where Google Glass was more of a mobile notification machine, low cpu, low cpu notifications that are in the corner of your eye. Unlike Google Glass, Meta is a gestural-based immersive augmented reality computer.

Think Virtual Retail. You’re at the store for example, you put on your headset, and all of a sudden you have a set of new stores that are available to you only in your headset.  Maybe product that may not be available in-store, but rather online only. Additionally think about virtually collaborating on a design with people that are in the same room with the Meta user, or people that are in another location. As Meron mentions in the video, “This is Iron Man.”.

The experience is very cool, it allows you to actually interact with objects in 3D. This would be an excellent tool for collaborative digital work. Meta’s CEO and founder Meron Gribetz said you can follow the project or pick up a developer kit or a Meta headset at https://spaceglasses.com
